Shameless, I know. Me? Gozo? Love at first sight.
And now that THIRTYSEVEN is officially open – and solidly booked through the fall I might add – I’ve become a more enthusiastic Gozo-phile than before. Honestly, is there a more heavenly place to pass a few weeks? Brilliant food, serenity and an ambiance that will lull you into relaxation mode no matter how recalcitrant your day-to-day existence. So, under the category of shameless plugs, herewith on behalf of the most engaging and generous hosts to be found on any corner of the globe, Patti and Giuseppe Piazzi.
Yours for the asking: Holistic reflexology and massage: sun rise yoga sessions; moon lit B-B-Q’s; hiking throughout Gozo packing pre-arranged picnics prepared to your liking: boating opportunities and sunset hampers upon request; dinner alfresco reservations in the garden and last, but not least, the owners’ two cuddly Llaso Apsos enthusiastically appear, as if on cue!
Then, of course, there is the option of doing absolutely nothing at all. Perhaps a day trip to the Blue Lagoon? A picnic alongside the Azure Window? A walk among temples that date back to 3000 BC? Side trips to Malta only to return to a sunset repast poolside? Are we unwound yet? Contact me for the easiest way to travel to Gozo. The travel itself can be a bit of an adventure!
